Darien Consulting Group, Inc., (DCG) was founded in 1978 by Aidan Harland, formerly Senior Vice President, American Express International Banking Corporation; head of International at The Connecticut Bank and Trust Company; and Vice President, Chemical Bank, New York.

For many years DCG consulted US and Latin American financial and corporate institutions regarding trade finance and foreign exchange. It was one of the first to develop a complete line of trade finance PC computer solutions for use by US banks.

In 2005 DCG produced the all-new WatchList Scanner, its OFAC compliance solution to employ the latest web and Windows technology and to incorporate a most sophisticated and fast search algorithm.

In 2009 DCG introduced Bank Report Runner, an affordable and effective way to run custom reports based on the FDIC call report data.
